Blondies

Made these for my photo shoot with Alice last Friday. Although blondies are not well known by many people, I love making them because they’re so delicious and so easy to make (just mix them in one bowl and put in a pan = less dishes to do!). I’m always up for trying a new recipe and using different ingredients(this time I added in walnuts). Taken from Smitten Kitchen.

Ingredients
8 tablespoons butter, melted
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla or 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
Pinch salt
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup walnuts
1/3 cup chocolate chips

Directions
1. Butter an 8×8 pan
2. Mix melted butter with brown sugar – beat until smooth. Beat in egg and then vanilla.
3. Add salt, stir in flour. Mix in any additions (below).
4. Pour into prepared pan. Bake at 350°F 20-25 minutes, or until set in the middle.

Grade: A
These are different from the normal blondies I make because they have a nuttier taste and walnuts but nevertheless still delicious and so simple to make!
